Calculus Roundtable Partners with NBA Math Hoops
to Bring Competitive STEM Learning to Students
Bay Area, CA — March 16, 2026
Calculus Roundtable today announced a dynamic new partnership with NBA Math Hoops, combining rigorous STEM instruction with the excitement of competitive basketball-inspired gameplay.
This collaboration unites Calculus Roundtable’s highly regarded Sports Math course with the fast-paced, strategic learning model of NBA Math Hoops. The result is a powerful, student-centered experience where math becomes both practical and competitive.
Through this partnership, students enrolled in Calculus Roundtable’s Sports Math program will automatically participate in NBA Math Hoops competitions. Working in teams, students will apply real mathematical concepts—probability, statistics, and strategic decision-making—within a game environment designed to mirror the intensity and teamwork of basketball.
“This partnership is about making math real, social, and competitive,” said Jim Hollis, Executive Director of Calculus Roundtable. “We’re taking the analytical rigor of our Sports Math course and pairing it with an environment where students can compete, collaborate, and see themselves as both scholars and athletes of the mind.”
